| Prayer At The WallThis is an original oil and stone on canvas painting created by the Israeli artist Udi Merioz. The technique used in this artwork is unique. Udi has crushed actual stones of Jerusalem and with a 16th century binder he mixed the stones with the oil paints, giving the artwork an almost three-dimensional effect. Udi’s father came to the Old City in 1967 with a dream that he would raise his family in the tradition that surrounds the Old City. As one of the first families to live in the Old City, Udi grew up in what is today the parking lot of the Jewish Quarter. While he was painting this particular piece he was recalling the memories of his youth and how he remembers the Old City from when he was a young boy. This artwork Is sold framed.
