He is a self-taught artist with an unusual realistic technique that is equivalent to the techniques of the Old Masters of the 16th and 17th centuries.Jochanan Ligtenberg’s artworks are stunning examples of the ability to capture both the physical and the spiritual light in the most accurate way. His paintings many times portray a prophetic Jerusalem as opposed to an architecturally or topographically correct diagram.
